Custom Travel Agency Creates Document Holders with Design Experts

Company Overview: Fitzgerald Travel is a custom travel design consulting business with a focus on European cruises and luxury travel. Each of its consultants has more than 20 years of full-service travel experience.

Problem: Fitzgerald Travel wanted to rebrand its business and needed presentation folders for its clients’ travel documents and presentation information.

Story: Co-owners of Fitzgerald Travel needed help rebranding their business.

They needed presentation folders for travel documents and information, as well as document folders to easily fit in clients’ luggage.

“We were not facing any time crunch, and we were very excited to move forward with our company rebranding,” said Lisa Fitzgerald. “Company Folders played an integral part of our new look. Our only challenge was ourselves. Lisa [Collins} and I struggled with how to design the folders, what colors to choose. Thank goodness for [Print Project Director] Jennifer Grubb, who professionally made suggestions and created ideas that we had not even thought about. She was our beacon through the process.”

Fitzgerald and her business partner had been trying to come up with a design for their marketing materials for at least a year. They had even tried working with two other printing companies but weren’t pleased with the results. They began researching printing companies online and decided to go with Company Folders.

“We looked for a company that we felt had the same goals for their company as we do for ours,” Fitzgerald said.

They requested samples of the 4″ x 9 1/4″ Digitally Printed Receipt Holder, 4″ x 9″ Right Pocket Small Presentation Folder, 9″ x 4 1/2″ Wallet-Style Tuck Tab Document Folder, Diagonal 2 Pocket Letter Size Presentation Folder, and Square Corners Two Pocket Presentation Folder.

Receiving such a variety of samples, Fitzgerald noted, helped her understand the differences between stocks and imprint methods such as embossing and foil stamping.

They chose a 9 7/8″ x 6″ Wallet-Style Document Folder with a Metallic Silver foil stamped area and an embossed area combined on uncoated 100lb Dark Blue Linen stock and H1 business card slits on the pocket, and the Square Corners Two Pocket Presentation Folder with a Metallic Silver foil stamp on uncoated 100lb Dark Blue Linen stock and H1 business card slits on the right pocket. Fitzgerald said Grubb was instrumental in designing their products.

“Jennifer Grubb was patient and kind and listened to Lisa and me over the course of a few conference calls,” she said. “Lisa and I had some different design ideas and went back and forth with opinions Jennifer was a trooper, listened to our concerns, and came up with a brilliant plan that pleased both of us.”

For Grubb, working with Fitzgerald and her partner was all in a day’s work.

“They knew what direction they wanted to go in, and they were also open to my suggestions,” Grubb said. “I’m glad we were able to create something to make them proud.”

The ordering process was thorough, detailed, and accurate, leaving them with a great product, Fitzgerald noted.

“The design, color, quality, it was very elegant, and it was exactly what we wanted to represent Fitzgerald Travel,” she said.

Collins echoed Fitzgerald’s sentiments.

“I feel we have taken Fitzgerald Travel to a higher level with the professional, yet elegant feel of these folders,” she said. “We are proud to have our own look and not the cookie-cutter look of products from other national companies.”

Fitzgerald said she has already recommended Company Folders to two other companies.
